IND/01/212 - Provision of Livelihood through Basket Making Scheme

Objective: To provide self-employment for poor, oppressed and disadvantaged women by a basket making scheme in order to support themselves and their families and to improve their socio-economic conditions

Background: The women have already skills in basket making and will be trained for one month. The training will be focussed on new developments in basket weaving activities, new designs, models and patterns. The produced baskets in three different sizes will be sold

Use of Funds: The funds will be used for the purchase of bamboo sticks, tools (such as different knives, sharpeners and cutters), colours and threads.
