Objective: To set up a cane rat (also known as ""grasscutter"") project in the Bowiri area to teach unemployed youth animal husbandry as an employable skill, while generating income in an area with high levels of poverty
Background: The project aims to offer a group of unemployed youth gainful employment and on the job learning of the basics of animal husbandry. Taking advantage of the abundance of fodder in the swamp areas, and a national drive to promote the breeding of cane rats f
