UGA/01/150 - Establishment and management of nursery beds and soil conservation project

Objective: To establish and manage nursery beds and a soil conservation project in Luhwahwa village, in order to involve the local youth communities, to promote and give training on environmental conservation.

Background: LUYODEFO aims to unite the youth in the community and share experience geared towards self-sufficiency; encourage awareness-raising activities; improve the standard of living of the youths through income-generating activities for poverty alleviation; and

Use of Funds: The funds will be used to purchase the materials to build a tree nursery shade construction, to buy tree nursery materials and equipment, and to pay partial training costs.
