PROJECT NAME: ST. MARY’S MISSION HOSPITAL LAUNDRY CONSTRUCTION

INTRONDUCTION

Greetings from St. Mary’s Mission Hospital. The Laundry construction started on 20th June 2026. On behalf of St. Mary’s Mission Hospital, we sincerely thank you. I am glad to present to you an update of the works done so far. I would like to state that the project has delayed due to some challenge in terms of finances to fully complete the painting and the ceiling boards. We are at 80% completion and we are very grateful to you all.

Kindly find below a table that gives a description of the works done. We have also attached photos of the works as well as the income and expenditure statement for the period under review.

ü  Construction of the sub structure

ü  Construction of the supper structure almost complete.

ü  Plumbing works are at 80% completion

ü  Electrical works at 80%. Waiting for power to be installed.

GOALS/TASKS PLANNED FOR NEXT PHASE
  • The next phase will include fixing the ceiling boards when funds will be available.
  • Painting the entire building.
  • Wire fencing and land scarping

CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED
  • Delay in the commencement of the works due to delay in the transportation of some materials (Due to distance, poor road network, and unavailability of utility vehicle.
  • High transport costs
  • Inadequate funds to complete the remaining works

 

INTERVENTIONS
  • Hiring of truck for material transportation.
  • Use more of the local transporters.

 

                      

IMPORTANT NOTES.

  1. The washing machines were procured before completing the building for fear the funds can be swallowed in the construction since the funds were inadequate. We negotiated for the lowest bidder who was also recommended by the District Council within the District. Works are at 80% completion.
