Objective: To assist 30 women of low caste by purchasing handlooms, cane basket materials and other supplies for basket making and mat weaving.

Background: The project plan was initiated by the ROAD NGO which has as its goal that of social services activities in various villages in Vempalli Mandal where the people are " backward castes, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, tribals and other downtrodden section

Use of Funds: The funds from the 1% Fund would be used for the purchase of tools and supplies, including 15 handlooms, cane basket materials, colours and other articles. The cost of the Instructresses will be paid from membership fees and donations from local philanthr
